Humans of Kingston Group: Interview with Isaac Savill
Owner | Founder | Director
KG: Isaac, you’ve been at the heart of Kingston Group since the beginning. What drives you as a leader?
Isaac: For me, it’s all about being the example—whether it’s for my team, my family, or my kids. I want to set the standard and show what it means to lead with integrity, hard work, and care. That’s my purpose.
KG: You seem to thrive in both team environments and your own space. How does that shape your leadership style?
Isaac: I love being part of a high-performing team, pushing everyone to do their best. But on the flip side, I value my quiet time—those moments to reflect and recharge. It’s a balance that helps me stay grounded while staying connected to the team.
KG: You’ve mentioned your competitive nature. Where does that come from?
Isaac: Growing up as one of five boys, everything was a competition—whether it was backyard rugby or racing for the last piece of bread at dinner! That competitive edge is still a big part of who I am. These days, it’s channeled into CrossFit, where I’ve been fortunate enough to compete at a national level.
KG: Family is a big part of your life. How do you juggle it all?
Isaac: It’s definitely busy! I’m married to Kirra, who’s also part of Kingston Group, and we’ve got three kids—our teenage son Hunter, who’s into basketball, and two young girls who love arts and crafts. Life is full-on, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.
KG: What’s your mission at Kingston Group?
Isaac: My goal is to push the team to be better every day—not just in their trades but as people. I love seeing our team succeed, whether it’s on-site or in their personal growth. At the end of the day, we’re not just building houses; we’re creating homes for people who need them. That’s a challenge I take seriously and one I’m passionate about.
KG: What’s the most rewarding part of what you do?
Isaac: It’s seeing the results—not just in the homes we build but in the people who make it happen. Watching our team grow, achieve, and make a difference in our community—that’s what it’s all about.
KG: Thanks for sharing your story, Isaac. Any final thoughts?
Isaac: Just that I’m grateful for the journey so far. Kingston Group isn’t just a company; it’s a family. And every day, I’m reminded of why we do what we do—building a better future, one home at a time.
